The whiskey sour has been around since the 1800s and is one of the oldest cocktails that balances sweet and sour. The tart lemon plays off the sweeter notes of the whiskey backed by a touch of simple syrup. You can use any of your preferred whiskies, but it works best with a smooth Canadian whisky and rye.
