Clase Azul is produced at the Productos Finos de Agave facility at Nom 1416, located in the Jesus Maria region of Arandas, nestled in the Los Altos Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. This region is renowned for its rich soil and climate, making it the ideal environment for cultivating the finest Tequilana Weber Blue Agaves, the only species capable of producing authentic tequila.
Clase Azul’s tequilas are made exclusively from 100% organic blue agave, carefully selected from over 200 agave varieties. After harvesting, the agave piñas (hearts) are cooked for 72 hours in traditional brick ovens, a slow process that extracts the full depth of flavor. The cooked piñas are then crushed, and a special yeast is added to begin fermentation, allowing the agave's natural sugars to transform into alcohol. The fermented liquid is then twice-distilled, with every step taken to ensure that the resulting spirit is of the highest quality.
The result is a line of ultra-premium tequilas, including the bright reposado, which is known for its silky smooth texture and rich body. It delivers woody, fruity aromas with nuanced flavors of cooked agave, wood, vanilla, and caramel.
